I’ve always loved languages – I know, it sounds like a cliché, but it’s true!
I vividly remember one school trip to Cracow I went on as a teenager.
Frankly speaking, it wasn’t the city that made me excited – it was the foreigners speaking different languages.
Scared, but enthusiastic, I randomly approached a foreigner on the main square to ask him about the time in English (even though I knew the time very well) – and I was filled with joy due to our small conversation – a joy of being understood and being able to communicate.
It is an absolute pleasure to learn Polish with Ania. She goes above and beyond to ensure her students' success. Constantly seeking ways to make the class engaging, she incorporates authentic materials involving art, literature, films and polish culture. Ania listens attentively to my needs and expectations, shaping the lessons accordingly. Her expertise, dedication, patience, and passion have undeniably had a profound impact on my language learning journey. In comparison to my previous experiences with group classes and self-study, the progress I have made under her guidance is incomparable. A big plus for me is that she speaks Hungarian! I would highly recommend the Let's talk! Language meetings with Anna Gurgul for anyone who wants to learn Polish! As a complete beginner, Anna has introduced me to all of the necessary basics in the language, in addition to a wide range of vocabulary and grammar that will be useful in everyday life. I really appreciate that when needed, the classes were adapted to focus on what I would find most useful at that time or to give extra attention to areas that I previously found most difficult like pronunciation. In the charity I run Ania taught a group of 12 adults from Ukraine. Her lessons were for refugees just arriving from Ukraine with little or no knowledge of Polish. Whenever I happened to observe Ania’s lessons she was always full of energy, and I really liked the way she encouraged the students to participate. I also noticed that over a short period of time she helped the group bond together through group exercises and conversation. Her students also let me know that they enjoyed the lessons. I particularly remember one short email simply saying “thanks for the Polish course and text book 🙂 And for Ania she is an amazing teacher”. I would also like to add that Ania is very well organised and was quick to let me know if there was any additional materials required or if there would be a free space on the course due to a student emigrating or returning home. When Ania asked me for a reference I was more than happy to share that in my opinion Ania is a great teacher.

I really like Anna's Polish classes. Anna is a great teacher, enthusiastic, disciplined and professional. Her personalized classes start always on time. My favorite part of the lessons is when we read about current events and solve related excersizes. She uses real-world examples within learning, which is really useful when you want to learn a language.
